I know its been a while and I am so sorry! I have been working in the backgrounds little by little! I wanted to give you an update on my re-do chair and BEAUTIFUL Chandelier!
This past weekend I got these great chairs! I know that you WONT believe me, but truth be told. This was the last yard sale that we went to before finishing around 11:30am. This is the same sale that I got the Christmas tree for my office below! Anyway, the man said to me" how about a chair" I said"how much" -course I was thinking these are WAY over priced if they are still here. $3 bucks he says! NO LIE! I was like...."YEA....I will take THEM!" I got both chairs for 6 dollars! I am very excited to try to recover them. I was reading on another blog how she recovered hers like this and I know I can do it too!!! Can wait to show the the afters in a while.
Yard Sales are almost drying up for the season, but half the Posse was ready to roll and we had alot of fun. A few things I got today were..... a $5.00 Christmas Tree for my office....decorated with lights and ornaments isn't it GREAT!!!! 5 bucks is such a deal, i put it in my office!! A couple of chairs to redo(photos coming) 3 beautiful crystal tea lights I plan to use on Thanksgiving for $1.50 each ....I love them on my buffet! A few other things pictures to come!
AS Promised!! My show and Tell is this FANTASTIC FABULOUS HUGE HEAVY Chandelier. It is absolutelygorgeous!! I am waiting for it to be hung in my office so my poor 10 year old tried to hold it up for you all to see a better photo! It weighs a good 25 pounds I would bet! I am so excited about his Chandelier! So you are NEVER ever going to guess what we paid for this...Are you ready???? $3.00 at a yard sale! OH YEA!!!! the POSSE strikes again!!!!!!!!!! I will post another photo after we hang it on Sunday!
Its been a very busy week. No big furniture painting this week! My booth is full and I am thrilled! I have been working around the house getting ready for our big Thanksgiving day. I had one little project that was a cool little makeover to share. I have this wine rack over my kitchen bar. It was a red color with the little french guy at the bottom. Its become outdated in my kitchen and I was looking for something more sophisticated. A few hits with a Carmel Latte Spray paint and there I have a nice new wine rack. Plus I stamped the bottom with a cute bee. It looks like a custom high dollar wine holder now!!
I am SAVING something SOOOOO Special for SHOW and Tell Friday. I can HARDLY stand it! Its probably the most valuable yard sale find to date, for the price paid. I can not wait to show you!!! If you are into Shabby Chic, you will want to come back for this one!
Last week I showed you the pretty green desk that I painted a few posts down. But I was not able to show you the chair. Here is the chair with the desk. This chair was free, since it was a chair my mother had around her house in the garage. It had a horrible red fake pleather seat, and the wood had been through alot. A little paint and new fabric made this little chair a perfect match with my $30.00 Goodwill desk!
